The Ankati tribe is one of six in Biomutant, and leans towards the lighter side of things. Allying with this tribe will see players working towards the good ending by default, and it will also give them access to the Ankati tribe’s unique weapon, the bow.

The Ankati tribe call the Ankati Fortress their home, so players wanting to join up with them will need to make the trek to this location. It can be found in the Deadzone area of the map, more specifically in sector 7B. Changing tribes in Biomutant is as simple as heading to this location and speaking to the Sifu (tribe leader). This will then give the player the option to change their ways and join this Sifu’s tribe instead or walk away and remain with their current tribe. There is one important thing to note about this, however.

Players cannot directly switch from their tribe to whatever their rival tribe is. In the case of the Ankati, their rival tribe is the Pichu tribe. This means that if players happen to already be a part of the Pichu tribe, they will need to take a few extra steps before switching over to the Ankati. First, players will need to choose a third tribe that isn’t a rival of either of the other two and switch to that. At that point they should be able to simply speak to the Sifu of the Ankati and switch tribes.

The Ankati tribe rewards the player with the bow weapon, so those that want access to this early should consider switching early on. All tribe weapons can be unlocked eventually, but this is definitely the fastest way to get it. The Ankati tribe is also a light aligned tribe, meaning players that play through the game with a light aura will fit in best here.

Biomutant is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
