In February, when Dying Light 2 first launched, Techland shared a post-launch roadmap detailing planned DLC releases. The DLC included the now-released challenge sets, as well as Mutated Infected events, as well as Dying Light 2’s first story DLC arriving in June. The story DLC has since seen an unfortunate number of substantial delays. It certainly didn’t arrive in June. Anticipation has grown, even as the DLC was delayed into November, however, and now it’s closer to reality than ever.

On November 6, Techland will share the latest episode of Dying 2 Know, dubbed the Bloody Ties Special. Bloody Ties is the name of Dying Light 2’s upcoming story DLC, of course, and the new webseries episode will “unleash a horde of new information.” The episode will stream on Techland’s Twitch channel, starting at 12:00 PM PT/9:00 PM CET Sunday, November 6.

While the upcoming Dying Light 2 event will confirm the final details for the Bloody Ties DLC, Techland has previously confirmed its release date will be November 10. There’s no indication that the DLC has been further delayed. The official Dying Light 2 website still lists November 10 as the DLC’s release date, too.

Those who want to get back into Dying Light 2 ahead of the DLC’s release will be rewarded. Pre-ordering Bloody Ties, or having previously purchased Dying Light 2’s Deluxe or Ultimate Editions, will reward the Aristocrat Pack of cosmetic DLC. The pack includes an Aristocrat Guard outfit, as well as the Aristocrat axe.

The new DLC for Dying Light 2 will be coming out during one of the busiest seasons of the year. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 just launched, both Sonic Frontiers and God of War Ragnarok will arrive in the days prior to November 10. And then the week following is packed with releases including Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Techland is likely hoping the DLC release will drive up sales of Dying Light 2 for Black Friday, but it’s certainly a risky decision. Bloody Ties will hopefully make a persuasive argument for why gamers should choose it over other games this holiday.

Dying Light 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
